I'm a Wilderness Explorer!!

Well we headed out to Animal Kingdom on Friday morning. We were a little more leisurely than planned getting out so missed our first fast pass. We did get there in time for our safari but on our way to Africa I signed up as a Wilderness Explorer just like Russell, not my Daddy the one from the film Up!  I now need to collect all the badges as I go around Animal Kingdom.

Also as we entered Africa there was some African Drummers performing. I enjoyed standing and watching them and dancing a little. I decided that I needed to dance like a chicken - like I told Mummy and Daddy earlier in the week I get a drunk head sometimes and it makes me a little crazy!!! I also wanted to have a go at African druming and when looking in my wilderness explorers handbook I saw I could earn a badge just around the corner. I played a cool rhythm and found out the name of an African xylophone is Balafon and earned my Badge.
It was then time to head off on our Safari but not before I brought some binoculars!! I got to see lots of Animals on Safari in my safari truck Simba 1. Some rare and some I can see at Paignton zoo although they aren't behind glass here. Mummy got really excited to see Hippo's out of the water. Apparently wherever she has been where they are, they have been hiding under water! I did get to see a baby gorilla though and learnt lots of facts.

Going on Safari makes a princess like me (well that is what they keep calling me here!) really hungry and Mummy and Daddy are not going to go to Animal Kingdom without having BBQ food so off we went to track it down. I had a BBQ chicken leg and it was delicious. Mummy and Daddy shared a ribs and chicken combo with cornbread and they were happy too.
It was then off to Dinoland where I flew on Hester and Chester's ride and then went to the boneyard to play around the dinosaur bones that had been excavated. I saw a t-rex (it tried to eat me!!!), brachiosaurus a valoceraptor and got to ride a pachycephalosaurus. Then I went to excavate some bones which was fun and earnt another badge.

We then headed back to have some Dinner at Contempo Cafe again. I wanted to head into MK to go on Goofy's Barnstormer as I was not about to let the fact I was exhausted stop me going on one of my favourite rides at night!! We were delayed a little as the Monorail in front of us was having technical difficulties - so it had broken down basically holding us all up!! It seemed like we were sat there forever. Mummy and Daddy tried to pursuade me that we could get off and have an early night but sleep is for wusses in my opinion!!

When we finally arrived at MK I spotted Aurora and had to meet her. I was the last guest she was greeting as apparently she likes to get to bed early (Mummy said so would she - there are 2 more wusses!!).

I actually went on Barnstormer twice in a row - I just think it is an amazing ride! then it was time for Dumbo before heading back out as even I had to admit I was tired!

Well my next adventure involves golf and shopping!!!! I am quite excited by this too.

Chat soon

Love Amelia x
