We arrived

Hi everyone :)

Well my big adventure has begun and I have done so much already! Sorry for the long post but this is the first time I have had chance to blog since we arrived.

Mummy and Daddy say I was very good on my journey up to Gatwick. I dont remember much of it as I slept from the top of our road to Membury services (20 mins before reading) when we had a Nappy change and coffee stop. I made my happy presence known in Starbuck's where the christmas season has started and mummy and daddy had their first gingerbread latte's of the year!

In true baby fashion I made them stop at the next services for another nappy change which I thought was really funny :D

Gatwick Airport is a huge place for us babies and I was able to see lots of things. Mummy and Daddy put our BIG cases on a belt and they went off for our plane trip on Monday. They assured me I had plenty of stuff for my stay in the hotel.

Our hotel room was almost as big as gatwick! It was definitely bigger than the downstairs of our house and it had a conservatory that was as big as Grandma and Grandad's bathroom :o I really enjoyed exploring and didnt want to go to sleep so I stayed up until gone 10pm!

I decided that Mummy and Daddy needed an early morning wake up call so woke them up at 5.30;) I didn't realise that other guests had thought the same at 12am and 3am - whoops!

A nice man in a taxi collected us and took me to the airport to catch our flight. We got to go through a special security area as I was in a stroller (that is what the americans call a buggy - I am learning lots of new words here) and mummy had to try my bottle, juice and jars of food.

We looked around the shops and I had a sleep and woke up at the boarding gate where there were lots of people. Some wanted to talk to me - do they not know I don't do talking to strangers my scowl was well used there!

We then got on a huge plane with all these other people, I had to be strapped to Mummy for what seemed ages while we zoomed into the air for our loooooong flight. We were sat with 2 nice ladies who I liked to smile at and there was far too much for me to see and watch to sleep more than 30 mins on the whole flight! I had this "skycot" which I think I was supposed to sleep in but I preferred sitting in it! Mummy knocked Daddy's contact lens out of his eye with a pillow (adults are just soooo stupid!) just as we were going through turbulence. The torch app on Daddy's phone was very useful as mummy was crawling around the floor looking for it - she is so embarassing. Luckily after about 15 mins of Mummy being on all floors in between having to be strapped in due to turbulance she found the said contact lens - few! apparently there is a contact lens incident on every trip so it is something I have to get used too!

After a rather OTT landiing by the pilot (Im sure I could have done a better job - Im good at pressing buttons and leavers!) we arrived in florida. The ladies sat next to us said I was a very good girl and we were quickly through customs and onto a monorail train to where we would get our bags for the final time and meet Terry our driver.

Terry had a nice car seat that was perfect for me to sleep in and I slept all the way to Saratoga Springs where I was welcomed home. Mummy and Daddy say this is our second home - it seems very nice and I have lots of space in our apartment to expolore. Mummy and Daddy say we have an amazing view of Downtown disney and Fulton's Crab house which is a boat that is a restaurant. Mummy said they have eaten huge crab claws and lobster there in the past but advised I wont be going there as it is too expensive for this trip!

We had a good first night all waking at 2am our time (7am UK time) but after some breakfast and tv I went back to sleep at 5 as did mummy and daddy until 8am :)

Mummy and daddy took me to the Magic Kingdom for my first park visit. We went on a bus to get there. I saw some characters from a distance - this whole experience takes a lot of getting used to but I went on my first ride which was its a small world. They have a whole ride based around our doorbell at home!!! by the end I was trying to sing along - it was fun. We had lunch and then I went to sleep so mummy and daddy stolled around the park and then apparently shared a BIG ice cream sundae. I missed out on that one but must remember for later in the trip,

We came back to the apartment and then we went swimming. It was cool I loved doing all my waterbabies moves although Mummy didnt take me under as there were lots of americans watching me!! As you can see Mummy had dressed me in a silly hat due to the sun - No Harvey and Oscar I wont be wearing it too swimming when I come back so you can laugh at me!!!!!

After that I was very tired so we got dinner from the store/restaurant here on site and had and early night.

Today Mummy says we are going to EPCOT to see a piggy, trash cart, fire engine and a dragon called figment. I must sign off so I can get some breakfast.

I promise that the next posts will be shorter.

Love to all
Amelia x
